The conference firstly discussed the organization structure of AWF Committee, Website Committee, Standardization Committee and the related work progress and plan of Audit Committee, Documents Committee, MOS Internet Committee and Technique Experts Committee subordinated by CWCS & MOS.
On the Website Committee seminar, as the President of AWF Website Committee, Dr. Liu Zhenying’s proposal of AWF website improvement had been recognized by the participants. One of the important proposal was to increase the page view of AWF Website so as to promote the exchange and cooperation of Asian manufacturing technology and skill as well as promote the development of AWF. AWF should carry out Asian Manutech & Skills Demonstration Show among the AWF members, which is co-hosted by AWF, Beijing ARC Science & Technology Co., Ltd. and all the AWF members. Meanwhile, Dr. Liu also proposed to hold the first demonstration show from 20th June to 22nd June, 2016 in Beijing, China in order to explore the useful experience for the tour show of AWF members. The proposal was supported by the majority and approved by voting on the AWF Council Conference.

During the conference, Zhang Li also introduced the related information of 2016 (4th) Beijing Arc Cup International Welding Competition which will be held from 18th June to 23rd June, 2016 in Beijing, China to the members’ representatives. The Competition is hosted by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council of P.R. Of China (SASAC), co-organized by Organizing Committee of “Arc Cup” International Welding Competition, International Welding & Surfacing Association and Beijing ARC Science & Technology Co., Ltd. and supported by International Institute of Welding (IIW) and Asian Welding Federation (AWF). Beijing “Arc Cup” International Welding Competition, which has been successfully held for three times, won widespread praise at home and abroad within extensive participation (22 countries from Europe and Asia participated in the Competition), a record of participants (the number of participants was over 500 in 2014 Competition), innovative robot welding process (firstly and consecutively set up by “Arc Cup”) and international judges and competition standards. Now, “Arc Cup” International Welding Competition has been an important platform for worldwide welding industries to exchange skills. On the Council Conference, Zhang Li also introduced the concurrent event 2016 (2nd) International Conference on MANUTECH & SKILLS and sincerely welcomed the participation of all the countries.

On the 2nd Advanced Welding and Connection Technology Seminar co-organized by Indonesia's Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education, Asian Welding Federation and Surabaya Shipbuilding College, Zhang Li representing of Dr. Liu Zhenying made a report on the topic Application of Hardfacing and Manufacturing Technology on China Cement, Power and Mine Industry, which introduced the market and development of China hardfacing technology, reported the development and achievements of hardfacing technology of Beijing ARC Science & Technology Co., Ltd. as the forthgoer in China hardfacing field, which impressed the 300 conference participants. Meanwhile, the welding scholars, experts, students from China, Japan, Indonesia and other countries including Dr. Miyada Takashi, the President of Japan Welding Engineering Society shared and exchanged the related welding and connection technology.

The trip to Indonesia was an important part for Beijing ARC Science & Technology Co., Ltd. to move towards international market and participating in international exchange activities of welding technology. And the conference achieved fruitful results.
